Relevant stock may come from network refreshes, datacentre and office projects, managed service providers, resellers, hosting businesses or organisations consolidating spare equipment.
Network hardware should be identified by exact manufacturer model or part number. Product-family names alone may cover many ports, speeds, power options and revisions, so detailed inventory data is important for a meaningful review.

How to describe a network-hardware inventory
List the manufacturer, model or part number, quantity and condition. Include port count, speed or power-over-Ethernet capability where it is not obvious from the model. Note whether power supplies, rack ears, modules or other relevant accessories are included.
If equipment has been reset, tested or removed from a working environment, describe that accurately. Where licensing, subscriptions or platform association may be relevant, include any status you know without making assumptions. Photographs of labels, ports and included accessories can help clarify mixed stock.

Suitable enquiries may receive a purchase offer, followed by agreed logistics and inspection against the inventory. The process is designed around real stock information rather than an instant generic trade-in price.
For a broader infrastructure list, networking equipment can be submitted alongside used enterprise servers, memory, processors and storage. Keep each product and quantity on a separate spreadsheet line.
Reuse as an alternative route for suitable hardware
Where equipment remains commercially suitable, purchasing for potential reuse and resale can provide a focused route for surplus network hardware. CJS Tech does not present this as a general WEEE collection, certified recycling or full IT asset-disposition service.

Mixed network stock and included accessories
Network projects often produce mixed inventories rather than one uniform batch. Group switches, routers, firewalls and wireless equipment separately, then list individual models and quantities within each group. Avoid combining accessories and primary devices into a single total.
State whether power supplies, rack ears, mounting hardware, expansion modules or other model-specific accessories are included. Where a device contains removable modules, identify those modules separately if their part numbers are available.
For equipment collected from more than one site, a location or postcode against each batch can help with later logistics discussions. It does not create a promise of collection; arrangements are agreed only for suitable enquiries.
